USAC/MD DONATION TO SURVIVOR FUND

USAC/MD DONATES
$11,000 TO THE INTERNATIONAL TOWING & RECOVERY MUSEUM'S SURVIVOR FUND

April 2012 (Dallas, TX)—United States Auto Club, Motoring Division, Inc. hosted its 5th Annual USAC/MD Golf Classic on
Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Celebration Golf Club in Celebration, FL.  The event was in conjunction with the PWOF
Tow Show in Orlando, Florida.

Eighty-seven players and over 39 sponsors teamed up for the 4 person scramble.  The event started a beautiful, sun-filled day with a short rain delay after nine holes.  The tournament ended with an awards ceremony, raffle drawings and an $11,000.00 donation to the International Towing & Recovery Museum’s Survivor Fund. Staley Cash, the Executive Vice President of USAC/MD, made the presentation of the check.  Over the past five years, the tournament has raised over $50,000 for the Survivor Fund, which offers financial assistance to families of road service professionals killed in the line of service.

Special thanks go to Miller Industries for sponsoring the “Hole-in-One Wins a Truck” and Condor for donating a motorcycle loader which was given as a raffle prize and won by Sullivan’s Towing & Recovery in Fredericksburg, VA.

“USAC/MD is proud of the support from the golfers and sponsors we have received over the last several years to support the Survivor Fund, says Matthew Miller, USAC/MD Golf Classic Chair.  This year we had more players than any other year and donated over $1,000 more than last year.  We are so thankful to everyone for making it such a great event.”
